about

A solo recording from Grammy nominated composer and pianist Gunnar Madsen. Recorded at world-renowned Skywalker Sound, with guest violinist Irene Sazer (of Turtle Island String Quartet) joining on choice cuts. During a long bout with pneumonia, Mr. Madsen found solace at the piano. With physical and mental energy running low, he found new inspiration in simplicity. The music was stripped of any virtuosic or overly intellectual tendencies, and what resulted is more thoughtful and soulful than any of his previous works.
